An Additional Inspector General (AIG) and two Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) of Nepal Police have been awarded rank insignia. Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki awarded the rank insignia to the three officers today during a ceremony organized at the Police Headquarters.

Those who will be decorated with the rank insignia are AIG Ishwar Karki, DIG Bishwa Adhikari, and Technical DIG Engineer Ram Kumar Chaudhary. On the occasion, Inspector General of Police Karki said that the promotion was made on the basis of seniority, efficiency, methods and procedures, as well as the assessment of the responsibilities performed with professional integrity. 

He expressed his belief that the leadership role and leadership capacity of the promoted police officers will make an effective contribution to the police service. Inspector General of Police Karki mentioned that the country is in a sensitive situation and in such a situation, it is necessary for the police to be dedicated to serving the people. He said that the police personnel should be more active to provide police services in line with the expectations of the citizens by adopting selfless service, polite behavior, and excellent conduct. He also directed to make the service delivery more efficient by emphasizing professional performance to increase public trust in the police.
