Nepal Police has arrested a person who stole gold and silver jewelry and other items in Madhya Baneshwor. The police team of Baneshwor Police Circle arrested Sagar Bishwakarma, 20, of Sindhupalchowk, who broke the lock of a room in a house in Baneshwor, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-31, and made him public on Friday.
Spokesperson of the District Police Range Kathmandu, Superintendent of Police (SP) Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, informed that Bishwakarma was arrested with various items used to decorate the house and stolen items.
The police have recovered one khukuri, one gold ring, one gold bangle, one gold earring, one pearl necklace, one gold bracelet, and one silver coin from the arrested Bishwakarma.
Similarly, 22 foreign currency coins, two iron wrenches, two Sony company cameras, two camera chargers, one video player, one memory card, and 27 gold and silver bills have been recovered, said spokesperson Bhattarai.
The police have extended the remand of the arrested Bishwakarma by five days from the District Court Kathmandu, the range has informed.
