Anjali Maskey administered the 27th annual mass tika to 208 brothers and sisters at Marusattal in the Basantapur Durbar Square, which is listed on the World Heritage List.
Maske has been applying tika to brothers who do not have sisters since 2055 BS, wishing them long life and good health. She informed that she has been preserving culture and tradition by applying tika to those who could not do tika, regardless of caste.
Maske used to apply tika collectively at Kasthamandap until Tihar in 2071 BS. After the earthquake on 12 Baisakh 2072 BS destroyed Kasthamandap, she started applying tika at Marusttal.
Even though the reconstruction of Kasthamandap was completed, she has continued the work of applying tika at Marusttal since it was not opened due to controversy.
