Bhaikaji Marhajan, a businessman of Asan, said that those who leave the valley and go out are now shopping for clay pots (lamps), twinkling lights, seven-color tika, velvet flower garlands, material used in Lakshmi Puja, Bhaimasala, Amla, Dhakatopi, utensils and clothes.
He said, "Nowadays, the excitement is increasing due to Tihar shopping in the market here. The excitement is also increasing as the daily pressure of people buying for Tihar is increasing." Similarly, targeting Tihar, small shops and shopping centers here have put goods on sale with various offers and discounts. Amirman Shrestha, a cloth merchant of Indrachowk, said that the demand for Vaimasala packs, dhakatopi, tika sets, sweetmeats and "gift items" used on the day of Bhaitika is increasing.
