'Khan Pihan Vaigu' Jatra is celebrated on Thursday night in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-7 Nagesh. Every year, on the tenth day of Badadasai, the procession of Mohani Nakh, on the night of Vijayadashami, the Jatra was held on Thursday night, as per the tradition of taking out the 'Khan Pihan Vaigu' Jatra from Nagesh's palace Laiku.
It was excavated from the Malla palace in Nagesh. At the end of this Jatra, 'Bhuinfarsi' i.e. 'Kuvindo' is killed in the courtyard of Siddiganesh in Nagesh, so it is also called 'Bhuinfarsi Palegu' Jatra.
Pilgrims came out of the palace under the leadership of Pama Nayo (Prind Naike) in the guise of soldiers of the Malla period, carrying iron caps on their heads, swords, hooves and shields in their hands. The soldier also demonstrated his war skills. There is a tradition of bringing kuvindo prasad from the Siddiganesh temple complex.
This year Madhyapurthimi Municipality supported materials such as shields and hats for the operation of the Jatra. Mayor Surendra Shrestha and public representatives also actively participated in the procession.
