In the past 24 hours, 111,000 civilians have left Kathmandu Valley. According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 467,000 people have left Kathmandu since Ghatasthapana till Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Vijay Bahadur Swar, the president of the National Federation of Nepal Transport Professionals, said that traffic jams on most roads are causing problems for travelers to reach their destinations.
President Swar said that eight lakh civilians have left the Kathmandu Valley since Ghatasthapana. He said that they have requested the traffic police to operate the means of transport easily. The traffic police has also said that arrangements have been made for safe travel by deploying security personnel as needed.
