The police arrested a woman from the UAE who was issued a red notice by Interpol in a fraud case and brought her to Nepal on Thursday.

Central Police Spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General of Police Vinod Ghimire informed that Aishwarya Dahal, resident of Janakpurdham sub-metropolitan city-16 of Dhanusha, Sindhuli Kamalamai Municipality-14, was arrested.

He said, 'The woman was absconding after a red notice was issued by Interpol in a fraud case. The police arrested him in the UAE and brought him back to Nepal for the purpose of prosecuting him in the related case.'

The Interpol General Secretariat has issued a red notice against her on March 21 at the request of NCB Kathmandu to search and arrest her, who is absconding in the case.

Niz Dahal, who was arrested, has been sent to District Police Office Sunsari for necessary investigation and action, Police Head Office Interpol Branch said.
