The police have arrested two people on the charge of hitting a young man with a machete in Buddh, Kathmandu.

Those arrested are 20-year-old Ashish Rai, who lives in Bhedetar, Dhankuta, and currently lives in Gokarneshwar Municipality-7, Kathmandu, and 18-year-old Shanskar Magar, who lives in Urlabari Municipality-1, Morang, and currently lives in Gokarneshwar-5 Jorpati, District Police Complex Kathmandu Spokesperson and Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Chand informed.

He said, 'On the night of the 18th of July, Gokarneshwar-6 Narayantar Lama near the petrol pump, Makwanpur house and Gokarneshwar-4 Gokarna Namgel  They have been arrested on the charge of injuring 27-year-old Surendra Thokar with a sharp knife.' According to the police, the plainclothes police team deployed from District Police Complex Kathmandu and Police Britta Buddh are conducting a search and arresting them and necessary investigation work is being done.

Spokesperson Chand said that the injured person was referred from the National Trauma Center in Thokar and is now being treated at Veer Hospital and his condition is moderate.
