One person died in a road accident at Balkumari in Lalitpur on Saturday.
According to the Central Spokesperson of Nepal Police, Deputy Inspector General of Police Vinod Ghimire, a 23-year-old female pedestrian was killed in the afternoon when a mini truck No. Ba 4 B 2477 coming from Gwarko towards Koteshwar collided on the road in Lalitpur Metropolitan City-19 Balkumari. The identity of the deceased has not been released.
Spokesperson Ghimire said that she was seriously injured in the collision and died during treatment at B&B Hospital and the driver was taken into custody.
Since then, 38-year-old Ramakrishna Bajgai of Makwanpur Bakaiya Rural Municipality-4, who lives in Dera of Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality-15 Satdobato, has died when his scooter No. 75P 1944 was hit by a tractor on the road at Bhadrakali, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-29.
He was seriously injured in a motorcycle collision on Friday and died during treatment at Patan Hospital Lalitpur, police said. The number of the motorcycle has not been revealed. The search for the driver continues.
