Changunarayan Municipality is going to excavate and protect important heritages within its city area from historical, archeological and religious point of view.
On the occasion of Nagarkot visit year-2082, on the occasion of Shiv Purana Gyan Mahayagya and Vishnu Purana Gyan Mahayagya in the month of July, city chief Jeevan Khatri said that the heritage will be excavated and preserved in a program organized on Wednesday at the famous Trilokeshwar Mahadev Temple complex in Bagehiti, Ward No. 7.
He said, 'Changunarayan Municipality - 1 to 9 has immense wealth, religious monasteries, temples, places of historical and archaeological importance. Some of them are in danger, some are in a state of search and research and excavation. The municipality will search and investigate such assets and will begin to protect them.
Mayor Khatri took the opportunity to visit Nagarkot and requested the locals to support the preservation and research of the heritage of all nine wards.
The city plans to mobilize experts to excavate the heritage found in coordination with the Department of Archeology and preserve it. According to Nagar Pramakh Khatri, the plan has been made to develop not only the economic development of the municipal area, the observation of Mount Everest and the sunrise and sunset, but also the development of the heritage of the city area.
