Politburo meeting of Nepal Communist Party (UML) is being held today to discuss the proposals to be presented in the upcoming legislative convention.

In a meeting chaired by party president and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at the UML Central Office, Lalitpur Chasal at 1:00 PM, the proposal will be submitted along with the legislative amendments decided by the party's secretariat meeting.

These proposals will be presented in the central committee meeting to be held on July 5 before the legislative convention. In the meeting held on Thursday night, there was a close discussion on the proposal to amend the statute. The second legislative convention of UML will be held on August 20, 21 and 22 at Godavari in Lalitpur.

Legislative convention has been prepared to formally remove the age limit of 70 years and the provision of not being allowed to hold two consecutive terms in the same position within the party . The Central Committee of UML will finalize the constitutional amendment proposal presented by Vice President Bishnu Prasad Paudel for the Legislative Convention on Thursday.
