It has rained in various parts of the country today, including Kathmandu Valley. The Valley has received moderate rain, while some areas of Sindhupalchok have received heavy rain, according to the Weather Forecast Division of the Department of Water and Meteorology.
According to Vinu Maharjan, meteorologist of the division, 15.6 mm of rain has fallen in the last 12 hours in Panipokhari area of the valley this evening. It has also rained in Budhanilkanth, Tarakeshwar area. He did not say that there was rain in other areas of the valley.
According to the flood forecasting division of the department, the water level reached around the alert level at the Gongbu water measuring station of Bishnumati river in Kathmandu in the evening. But now it is reported that the rain has decreased in the valley.
In the last 12 hours, Gobre of Sindhupalchok has received 76.4 mm of rain. Shermanthan of the same district has received 55.6 mm of rain. It is heavy rain. Meteorologist Maharjan did not give information about 44.8 mm of rain in Jiri in Dolakha, 35.6 in Solukhumbu and 33.4 mm in Kechnakaval in Jhapa. It is moderate rain.
