A pedestrian has died due to a motorcycle collision near Shiv Mandir located in Tarakeshwar Municipality Ward No. 8 of Kathmandu.

Around 9:30 on Wednesday  70-year-old Kul Bahadur Acharya, a pedestrian, was hit by a motorcycle numbered Ba 74 P 7054 driven by 22-year-old Navin Ghimire of Tarakeshwar 3, Paachmane. 

Tarakeshwar-8, Acharya, who lives in the meeting square, who was seriously injured in the collision, was immediately taken to the city hospital. Later, he was taken to Grandi Hospital in Tokha for further treatment, but the doctor declared him dead at 11:20 pm during the treatment. Apilraj Bohra, Information Officer of the District Police Complex, Kathmandu informed that the police are conducting further investigations into the incident after the motorcyclist was arrested and the motorcycle was taken into custody.
