Police have rescued a woman who ran away with her car last night in Tokha, Kathmandu. At around 10:00 pm, a private car bearing the number Ba P01-031 Ch 6141 suddenly fell into the river from the bank of the Bishnumati River behind the Grand Hospital of Tokha Municipality-6 in Kathmandu.

Bhavna Oli ran away with the car driven by Ankush Singh, a resident of Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu.

The driver was able to jump to the bank of the river, while Oli, who was inside the vehicle, was swept away by the river. Apilraj Bohra, Spokesperson and Superintendent of Police of Kathmandu Police Station, informed that the woman was rescued from the stuck vehicle after arriving at Baniatar bridge.

According to him, the rescued woman Dang Ghar was currently living in Tokha. He was rescued by the police with the help of locals and sent to Green City Hospital for treatment.

The police said that the car in the river was pulled out with the help of a crane and placed in the police department's new bus park.
