Education, Science and Technology Minister Raghuji Pant has said that yoga is no longer just a matter of Vedic culture and community.
Addressing the program organized on the occasion of the 11th World Yoga Day in Lalitpur on Saturday, he said this. Now yoga has advanced as a common way of life in the world.
He asserted that yoga and meditation inspire people to look within themselves, to control their state of mind and to think about themselves. He said that yoga and meditation and the depth of Vedic literature, meditation and eloquence and the various aspects hidden within it should be promoted as important cultural heritage and intellectual property of the country.
Minister Pant said, "What the World Yoga Day shows is that yoga is no longer just a matter of Vedic culture, of the Vedic community." Now yoga has advanced as a common way of life in the world. Yoga makes a person, meditation makes a person to look inside himself, to cover his state of mind, to think about himself. Mind and mind are purified by meditation and yoga. Yoga and meditation and the depth of Vedic literature, contemplation and eloquence and the various aspects hidden within it should be promoted as intellectual heritage as an important cultural heritage of our country.
Nepal is the birthplace of yoga, meditation and contemplation. Today there is a greater need for peace and the ancestors asserted that there should be peace not only on earth but also in space.
