The construction of the main structure of the fly over at Gwarko in Lalitpur has been completed. Today, the leadership of the road department along with Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Devendra Dahal inspected the flyover on the spot.
During the inspection, Minister Dahal said that the construction of the flyover was a new practice, so there was some delay. He said that the ministry has given priority to completing other plans and projects under construction.
Director General of Road Department Dr. Vijay Jaisi informed that the construction of the main structure has been completed and public transport will be operated within a few days. Deep Barahi, head of the quality research and development center of the road department, expressed his belief that the divider will be placed in the middle of the flyover and some general works are left and it will be operational as soon as possible. He informed that it will be opened for traffic operations after the remaining work is completed within 23 days.
After the construction could not be completed in the predetermined time, Minister Dahal gave instructions to work at a fast pace after repeated inspection and monitoring. It is expected that after the operation of the flyover, the traffic in Koteshwar and Gwarko areas will be eased.
