Kathmandu Metropolitan Municipality has instructed to open Balaju swimming pool and build an indoor pool only after ensuring the water quality.

Today Kampa's deputy head Sunita Dangol gave instructions while monitoring the pond. He said that with the improvement of swimming pool, park infrastructure, religious, cultural and environmental conditions of that area, the work of making Balaju an excellent destination will be carried forward simultaneously. 

According to Dr. Sumannar Singh Rajbhandari, vice president of the Urban Planning Commission, the construction of the park's master plan has reached its final stage. In the first stage of the reconstruction, a 50-meter long and 18-meter wide pond with a capacity of 1.8 million liters of water has been built, Engineer Prem Bahadur Shrestha of the Public Works Department said, "The depth of the pond is from 3 feet to 10 feet. Along with the reconstruction of the pond, a water treatment plant, a purification plant, and a place for spectators with a capacity of 150 people have been built. 

agreement with association to operate swimming

Kampala Park and Greenery Promotion Project has entered into an agreement with Nepal Swimming Association to operate swimming pool. According to the agreement, the union will provide five manpower including one senior lifeguard, three lifeguards including one woman mandatory, one water treatment technician. 

On the day that the pool is set to operate by KAMPA, the manpower should be able to reach the pool 10 minutes before the arrival of the service recipient. After the time is over, the head of the office will have to return with the details of the daily work. Balaju Baisadhara Udyan is located at the foot of Nagarjuna Hill, which is considered sacred from both religious and natural angles. Along with Mannadi Devi, there are Sheetalamai Devi, Buddha, Ganesha, Ratnchudeshwar Mahadev temple in the garden area and Balanilkanth lying on Sheshanag in the small tank on the east side of the garden.
