A person has been arrested after stealing liquor and food items worth Rs.

37-year-old Bimal Shrestha of Baiteshwar Rural Municipality-2 of Dolakha, who stole various brands of liquor, cigarettes, cashews and pistachios from the grocery store on the ground floor of Bhatbhateni Super Market on this 20th of Baisakh, was arrested by the police from Thimi in Bhaktapur.

District Police Complex Kathmandu has released him today. Apilraj Bohra, Superintendent of Police of Kathmandu Complex, informed that Shrestha was being investigated by District Court Kathmandu for five days.

 Meanwhile, the police have arrested the absconding defendant in the case with a fine of Rs.15 million. 47-year-old Amit Agarwal, who was sentenced to 30 days imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1 crore by the district court in Kathmandu almost two years ago, was arrested by the police from Swayambhu today.

He has been submitted to the court for the execution of the verdict, according to the police.
