Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality-25 Nakkhu Khela has been seized and destroyed by some people who are living on the bank of Nakkhu Khela and are illegally producing and selling homemade liquor.

Based on the information that illegal liquor was being produced by renting the land of Purushottam Tuladhar in Nakhkhu Khola, the police team led by the in-charge of police division Bhainsepati Bungmati found a large amount of illegal domestic liquor while searching the premises.

Shashidhar Sharma, in-charge of the police division and police inspector, informed today that during the raid on Tuesday, around 100 liters of illegal domestic liquor and more than 1,270 raw materials were destroyed. According to him, the illegal liquor and raw materials seized by the police team have been dug and buried with the help of JCB. 

Police Inspector Sharma made it clear that the consumption of alcohol produced from inedible substances has adverse effects on people's health as well as being an illegal act. According to him, Ravina Tamang, who is currently living in Nakhkhu as a permanent home and is involved in the production and sale of homemade alcohol, has been warned not to engage in illegal activities. 

Stating that they are working to maintain harmony by ensuring peace and security at every hour, village and city, tol tol, Police Inspector Sharma expressed his commitment to stop activities that cause unrest in the society.
