Kamala Panthi has been elected as the president of Sancharika Group Nepal. The 9th convention of the group held on Friday elected 8 central members including the president and 5 office bearers.
Radha Khanal was unanimously elected as the general secretary of the group. Basanti Bastola has been elected as the vice president of the group, Urvashi Basnyat as the secretary and Sajana Tamang as the treasurer.
Similarly, Kalika Sivakoti, Kalpana Sharma, Ajvi Paudyal, Deepa Regmi, Tara Chapagain, Devi Sapkota, Vishnu Panthi and Mejkan Van have been elected as central members of the group.
Newly elected president Panthi said that she will work according to the purpose of the media group. "We will strongly advance the goal of establishing communication," she said. Vimala Tumkheva, outgoing president of
group, congratulated the newly elected working committee and wished them a successful tenure.
'I believe that this newly elected working committee will advance the voice of women's empowerment in a more powerful way through the media,' she said, 'Also, I wish women's issues forward strongly.'
