The police have started an investigation into the incident where a young man was molested at the Tribhuvan International Airport. Chief of Kathmandu Valley Police Office Ranipokhari, Additional Inspector General of Police Tek Bahadur Tamang informed that an investigation has been started against the three policemen involved in the incident that happened a few days ago.
A video of Sanjay Ojha from Morang, who came to Kathmandu from Dubai, was caught and abused by three policemen at the airport on March 31. The video went 'viral' on social media. "We have removed the policemen involved in the said incident from the responsibility of the airport and started the investigation. After the investigation, we will know for sure," said Tamang.
It is said that there was a dispute with the airport staff about bringing the trolley out and then there was a dispute. The behavior of the police is being criticized on social media. The incident happened after he passed the customs check at the airport while he was returning from foreign employment.
