The police have seized drugs along with an ambulance with Indian number plates from Bagmati Rural Municipality-3 Chhapeli.
Information Officer and Superintendent of Police Narahari Regmi of District Police Complex Lalitpur informed that drugs were seized in an ambulance number BR 05 P 0421 which was coming to Kathmandu from Makwanpur via Kantilokpath.
According to Regmi, 94 thousand 80 tablets of tramadol were recovered in the ambulance during a routine check in Bhattedanda. Some people involved in drug dealing have also been arrested.
'Drugs have been transported by using patients, it seems that the businessmen have made their plans by using eight-year-old children, 16-year-old youths and sick women, we have detained one person including an ambulance driver for questioning, and three mobile sets have also been recovered from them,' he said.
