One person died and nine others were injured in a traffic accident that took place on Sunday evening in Chandragiri Municipality-2 Nagadhunga, Kathmandu.

25/26-year-old Savina Gurung, whose address is not disclosed, died when she was coming from Chitwan to Kathmandu and hit a box on the side of the road when the bus number 1 B 5546 was stopped. Gurung, who was seriously injured in the accident, died in the trauma center during treatment, District Police Complex Kathmandu Spokesperson, Superintendent of Police Appelraj Bohra informed. According to him, nine people were injured in the accident. Some of the injured are being treated at trauma center and some at Annapurna Neuro.

The police said that the driver of the vehicle has been detained.
