The Government of India has handed over 24 kg of silver for the Seto Machhindranath temple in Janbahal, Kathmandu.

On Wednesday morning, the Indian Embassy in Nepal handed over 24 kg of silver on behalf of India. The temple of Seto Machhindranath, which was damaged by the earthquake in 2072, is being constructed with the help of the Government of India with the approval of the Department of Archaeology.

The reconstruction of the temple has been going on since January 29, 2077. It is said that the physical progress of the temple so far is 75 percent and the financial progress is 42.18 percent.

At that time, since the cost estimate did not include the silver seat, 204 kg of silver was donated to keep the silver seat.

An amount equal to 39 lakh 10 thousand was approved by the Government of India for silver. Now it is said that the process of carving the foot of the silver seat and placing it in the temple will be started.
