One person has died due to a tipper collision in Thinkune, Kathmandu. At 4.30 am on Saturday morning, one of the two people riding a motorcycle was killed in a collision with a tipper on the road in front of Garigaon Petrol Pump in Thinkune, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32.
Sukram and Ramesh Tamang, who were seriously injured in the collision of the tipper, were taken to the trauma center for treatment. Out of the two, 26-year-old Sukram, who hails from Panauti Municipality-11 in Kavre and lives in Dhapakhel, Lalitpur, was declared dead by the doctor at 5:30 in the morning, said SP Apilraj Bohra, spokesperson of Kathmandu Police Complex.
Another young man riding a motorcycle, Ramesh Tamang, who lives in Bethanchok Rural Municipality-6 of Kavre, is being treated on a ventilator. According to the police, they were riding on a motorcycle with the number of State 3-02-003 P 6245 and was hit by a tipper with the number Ra 1 B 2622.
The tipper, which ran away after hitting it, was found in the cargo building premises of the Tribhuvan Airport Customs Office. According to SP Bohra, the driver is absconding but the owner of the tipper has contacted the police.
