Kathmandu Metropolitan City has rescued a 14-year-old girl who was doing risky domestic work. The metropolis has rescued the girl who is studying in class 9.

The girl was rescued on February 27 after a complaint was received that she was in dangerous domestic labor in the metropolis. After receiving the complaint, the child was rescued from home under the leadership of Rasala Tandukar, the coordinator of Child Rescue Task Force including Children Search Search Service (104), Child Helpline (1098), Police Circle Baneshwar, City Police Force.

After the rescue, the girl has been kept in a temporary protection home in the metropolis. The girl's permanent home is Humla. The girl had been living in that house for 3 years. The metropolis has informed that the rescued girls were accused of theft and beaten up. 

The Metropolitan Municipality has been monitoring and rescuing children who have been living with people and families other than their relatives since April 2081 under the 'Protection of Childhood, Future Security' program.
