Kathmandu Metropolitan City has reported that 74 children have been rescued in 11 months. According to Shanta Pahari, child welfare officer of the metropolis, 41 boys and 33 girls were rescued from May to February 2081.

Among the rescued, 38 people are in the child protection home, while 34 people have been reunited with their families, the metropolis has informed. After the rescue of those children, the metropolis has proceeded with the case of 7 people in the judicial process . In which 4 cases are related to rape, 2 cases of child sexual abuse and 1 case of beating and enslavement.

In the last two incidents, the metropolis has informed that the case has been filed on the basis of considering the psycho-social report and the joint monitoring report as allegations.
