The identity of the dead body found on Saturday in the Hanumante river in Srijannagar, Bhaktapur municipality-1 has been revealed. A dead body of a young man was found in Hanumante river at 3:45 pm on Saturday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Dhundiraj Neupane said that the dead body was that of 21-year-old Ranjit Vick, a resident of Kanitar, Gokulganga Rural Municipality-5, Ramechhap, who currently resides in Jagati, Bhaktapur.

Pooja, the deceased's sister, contacted the police and identified the body, he informed. Deputy Superintendent of Police Neupane said that Pooja's sister-in-law, Sharmila Gajmer, was pronounced dead this afternoon after the autopsy.

The body was found naked. After the locals informed the police, the police immediately reached the spot and started the investigation. Deputy Superintendent of Police Neupane said that the cause of death has not been revealed and the investigation of the incident is ongoing.
