2 people have been arrested on the charge of defrauding money by saying that they will send money to America and Canada under the temptation of attractive salary in foreign employment.

Among those arrested are Shalikram Baniyan of Sankhuwasabha Makalu Rural Municipality-2 and resident of Budhanilkanth Municipality-8 Hattigounda and Elina Puri of Makwanpur Indrasarovar Rural Municipality-3 and resident of Kirtipur Municipality-14 Bhobhar. 

According to the police, Shalikram took 500,000 rupees from the victim and Alina 150,000 rupees from the victim saying that he would send them to America and became incommunicado. Based on the complaint of the victims, they were arrested from Teku by the police assigned to Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office.

They have been sent to Foreign Employment Department Tahachal for necessary investigation and action, police said.
