The police have arrested five people, including a minor, for being involved in the murder of a woman in Gokarneshwar, Kathmandu.
According to the Information Officer of District Police Complex, Kathmandu, Superintendent of Police Apilraj Bohra, those arrested are Kailash Khadka of Sarlahi Bagmati Dhungekhola, Suresh Tamang of Makwanpur Hetounda Shikharpani, Roshan Tamang of Nuwakot Meghang, Puja Periyar of Sindhupalchok Tipine and a minor.
Kathmandu Gokarneshwar Municipality-7 near Nami College, a woman aged 30/35 was found dead in the middle of the Bagmati river in a sack in the water at 11.50 am on February 24th. The police team sent from Buddh Police Circle sent the body to Maharajganj University Teaching Hospital for post-mortem.
As the involvement of that person in his murder came to light during the preliminary investigation, he was arrested from various places in the valley by the police team including District Police Complex Kathmandu. According to the police, the Kathmandu District Court extended the deadline of six days to investigate the accused.
