Under the leadership of Saroj Dhakal, president of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-31, ward members Ashok KC, Huma Acharya, officials of the Ward Civil Society Network actively participated in the cleaning of the Wagmati River in front of Tinkune Ward No. 31 office.
Dhruv Pokharel, president of Aloknagar community, DR Pokharel, chairman of Aloknagar Marg Toll Reform Committee, were active in the cleanup.
In this way, Aloknagar speech campaigner, Manju Rai of Empowered speech and speech committee, Sundarighat speech clean campaign, yoga practitioner including yoga guru Kishore Joshi, Nepal Police, Community Nepal Police, staff of Ward No. 31, ward residents, Kathmandu Metropolitan City Environment Department team with Tekuka sanitation vehicle also participated.
About three metric tons of garbage was collected from the cleanup. Campaign worker Kishore Singh Shahi informed that the garbage collected on Saturday was managed by the Metropolitan Corporation vehicle.
Since 5th May 2070, the two-hour cleaning campaign has been going on every Saturday morning. On Saturday, the 616th week of Bagmati Safai campaign was completed.
