An investigation is going to be conducted into the Melamchi pipe burst near Thapathali Chowk in Kathmandu. Ashok Kumar Poudel, Chief Executive Officer of Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Limited (KUKL), informed that an investigation will be conducted to find out the reason for the pipeline burst in Thapathali today.
He said, 'The damage has been caused by the pipe bursting . What caused the pipe to burst . We will investigate to find out the single reason, after the investigation, the pipe will be repaired and water will be distributed.' In the morning, when the pipe burst, the area was flooded and the road was also blocked.
