Kathmandu Metropolitan City is going to lay stones in about 33 thousand square meters in the current financial year. It is said that work is being done with the goal of laying a total of 32 thousand eight hundred and fifty one square meters of stone for the metropolis.
The public works department of the metropolis has announced that eight plans have been implemented in seven packages from the public procurement process in the current year and five plans have been completed. With the aim of protecting the originality of the heritage area, enhancing urban beauty, and making the journey of pedestrians easier, stone laying is being done in the heritage area, footpaths, inner roads and alleys. According to the head of
department, Suraj Shakya, the plan is being worked on in 6 wards and Hanuman Dhoka Darbar conservation area, namely wards No. 6, 8, 12, 21, 26 and 27. For this, the cost was estimated at Rs 29 crore 47 lakh 88 thousand eight hundred 59.
Stones have been laid in an area of 10,729 square meters through five completed plans. Under this, the work of one thousand four hundred and eighty five square meter road from Jaywageshwari Marg Siphal White Door to Jaybageshwari Chowk of Ward No. 8 has been completed . Its cost is 1 crore 26 lakh 60 thousand rupees. Humat Kholsapakha of Ward No. 12, stones have been laid on a 1,825 square meter road from Humat to Lagan. Its cost is one crore 54 lakh 68 thousand eight hundred rupees .
The work of two thousand 92 square meters area in Lagan Chowk of Ward No. 21 has been completed . Its cost is 1 crore 36 lakh 29 thousand seven hundred and 27 rupees. Work has been completed on an area of one thousand and 17 square meters of Kumarikrupa Marg of Ward No. 26 and 520 square meters of area on Ramhiti Marg of Ward No. 6 at a cost of 44 lakh 87 thousand 600 rupees.
