While the Nepal Electricity Authority is carrying out horizontal drilling to put the electricity wires underground, the repair work of the broken pipe of the wholesale water distribution system in Babarmahal has started on Wednesday.

Ashok Kumar Poudel, Chief Executive Officer of Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Limited (KUKL) informed that the repair work of the wholesale system pipe to be distributed in Kathmandu has started since last night.

He said, 'After the pipe broke, the water flowed completely and Babarmahal was submerged. We have started the repair from last night after the water was stopped. We will start the water distribution process after the repair is completed.'

In the course of horizontal drilling for undergrounding electric wires, the wholesale water distribution system in Babarmahal was flooded after the pipe burst and the government offices including the special court were damaged by water.
