Police have arrested two youths involved in online betting. Police arrested 48-year-old Rajprakash Shrestha of Ramechhap Khandadevi Rural Municipality-4 and 29-year-old Harishchandra Bhujel of Vidur Municipality-12 in Nuwakot along with cash on Monday.

According to the information officer of Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, Kazi Kumar Acharya, in the preliminary investigation, it was found that 2 crore 41 thousand 636 rupees were transacted in their bank account and Binance ID. From them, the police recovered four mobile phones, one computer CPU, 27 ATM cards of different banks, 7 check books, 90 thousand rupees in cash, 50 NCL cards with diaries and 7 Nepal Telecom SIM cards.  Acharya said that they were arrested based on information that they were involved in crypto currency trading by conducting betting through various online games operating worldwide through the

betting application. 

They have been sent to the district police complex Bhadrakali for necessary investigation and action on the offense of gambling or betting and using immaterial currency under the Civil Crimes (Code) Act.
