With the aim of marketing the goods produced by small and medium entrepreneurs and developing entrepreneurship, the 'Nepal Start Up Small and Medium Conference' will be held on January 16 and 17.
The entrepreneurship and small and medium business department of Nepali Congress is going to hold such a conference with the aim of encouraging start-up businessmen.
In a press conference held at the party central office on Saturday, the head of the department, Urmila Thapalia, said that the conference is expected to help encourage small and medium businessmen and connect the youth to entrepreneurship.
"The conference was organized with the aim of analyzing economic transformation through innovation and entrepreneurship, investment opportunities and challenges in startups, and advocating policy reforms to encourage women and youth in entrepreneurship," she said.
The department has informed that there will be more than 80 stalls and more than 6,000 participants in the conference to be held at the party office in Sanepa. According to the head of the department, Thapalia, the two-day conference will be inaugurated by Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba. The department said that the participation of party leaders, MPs, young entrepreneurs, policy makers, industrialists, investors, technicians and experts in the conference will make the program more effective.
On this occasion, there will be discussions on innovation and entrepreneurship, agricultural entrepreneurship, information technology development, women entrepreneurship and inspiring entrepreneurial journey in various sessions.
