It has been one month today that Dharahara has been operating for free after reconstruction. During this period, Rs 55 lakh has been collected from the entry fee. The money was collected from the Dharhara, which was opened to the general public with a fee from last November 9, till yesterday Monday.
Project works Director Prakash Aryal informed that the Dharahara is closed every Wednesday and 1,200 people climb the Dharahara every other day. More than 31,000 citizens have climbed the Dharahara since the 9th. In which statistics of children under 12 years of age have not been kept,' he said, 'Dharahara climbing has been arranged from 10:30 am to 3 pm. A significant presence of citizens was seen in a short time.' Lately, tourists from neighboring countries are also coming to see the tower.
A fee of 200 per person has been fixed to climb the tower. Students, senior citizens, children and disabled persons can climb the tower at a 50 percent discount. There is a fee of Rs 500 per person for tourists coming from SAARC countries and Rs 1000 per person for non-SAARC countries. Dharahara has been put into operation by charging a fee according to the Special Structure Operation and Management Development Committee (Formation) Order, 2081. The Council of Ministers meeting on November 6 decided to open the Dharahara and approve the fee.
Parking here is Rs 20 per hour for four-wheelers and Rs 10 for two-wheelers. Rs 50 has been fixed for entry into the Dharahara complex. An hourly rate of five thousand rupees has been fixed for advertising of national importance on the Dharahara column.
