Kathmandu Metropolitan City has celebrated '30th Metropolitan Day'. The metropolis celebrated the foundation day by organizing various cultural and musical programs in Tundikhel on Saturday.

In the program, Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav mentioned that the metropolis played an important role in instilling trust in the government.

'The work and achievements of the Metropolitan Municipality in the fields of public health, environmental improvement, educational upgrading of community schools, employment and income, infrastructure, economic and social development are exemplary, followable and teachable,' he said, 'since the last fiscal year, the Metropolitan Municipality has been implementing I think that the Mahanagara Gauravka plan will help in sustainable strategic development and ease.' 

Metropolitan Chief Balendra Shah (Balen) said that the metropolis will be made the capital not only for the residents of the capital, but also for the Nepalese of 77 districts. This metropolis is a capital in itself. May it become the capital not only for the residents of the capital, but for all Nepalis coming from 77 districts," he said. "Since the metropolis itself is rich in heritage, rich in various cultures, full of art and heritage, it may become more prosperous, more livable, liveable for all Nepalis with good governance." 

Likewise, Sunita Dangol, the deputy head of the metropolis, said that they are trying to make the works carried out by the metropolis transparent and participatory.

'We are constantly making every effort to make the policy arrangements, public service delivery, development management, daily administrative functions citizen-friendly, economical and also effective, participatory and transparent,' Dangol said, 'for this, information and technology Maximum and effective use and formulation of necessary policies and laws as well as their implementation, effective mobilization of resources is our main responsibility She also informed that the plan that will show results is being implemented as a pride plan. He said that the metropolis has arranged as a policy program to connect the metropolis directly with other municipalities and 'Baba' i.e. Children and Environment Club has played an exemplary role in connecting children with the environment.

10 creators honored

Metropolis has honored 10 creators with Rs 150,000 each on the same occasion. 10 people, including painter Kiran Manandhar, were honored with cash in the participation of Yadav, Chief Shah and Deputy Chief Sunita Dangol, after the Deputy Nationals present in the program.
