On Tuesday, the police arrested 2 people on the charge of fraud by showing them dollars. Among those arrested are 37-year-old Bikram Shrestha, who resides in Sindhupalchok Bahrvise Municipality-6 Gati and Bhaktapur Suryabinayak Municipality-8 Ganesh Basti Dera and 55-year-old Dil Bahadur Shrestha Reha of Bhaktapur Suryavinayak Municipality-9 Khatritol Dera.

Based on information that a 41-year-old woman residing in Okhaldhunga Likhu Rural Municipality-9 Pokali was cheated of 650,000 Nepali rupees by showing temptation to provide US dollars cheaper than the exchange rate through phone and WhatsApp app in a secluded place in Digaon, Bhaktapur Changunarayan Municipality-4 on 13th of December last. Police deployed from Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Branch Office Bhaktapur have arrested those involved in the incident.

In addition, the police recovered 1 scooter and 4 mobile phones from them. They have been handed over to District Police Complex Bhaktapur for necessary investigation and action.
