9 people have been arrested with illegal drugs from different parts of the country.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki informed that they were arrested from various places in Surkhet, Parsa, Kailali and Sirha as part of the operation conducted by the police to control drugs on Saturday. Brown sugar, hashish, brown heroin and other drugs were found with them.
According to the police, 27-year-old Nishant Khatri and 25-year-old Rajan Sigdel from Birendranagar Municipality-10 in Surkhet, Chowkhedhunga with about 5 grams and 52 milligrams of brown sugar and 23-year-old Dipendra Darzi from Dhading with 4 kg and 300 grams of hashish from Birgunj Metropolitan Municipality-16 in Parsa, Shankaracharya Gate. And 21-year-old Abhishek Kumar, resident of Itahi Prasahi in Kalyanpur Municipality-3 of Siraha Mandal was charged with 4 grams of brown sugar while checking the motorcycle.
The police have arrested five people from different places in Kailali district. 19-year-old Sachin Rawal from Tikapur-9 Khakraul with 3 grams 980 milligrams of brown heroin, Janki rural municipality-9 Khairifata, 27-year-old Mahesh Bhatt of Dhangadhi sub-metropolis-4 and 28-year-old Gopal Ramjali of Dhangadhi sub-metropolis-4 with 2 grams 470 milligrams of brown sugar. It has been procured from Kailali with 510 milligrams of brown sugar.
Similarly, 2 people were arrested from Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city-8 Sangam toll with illegal drug brown sugar 3 grams and 430 milligrams. Police arrested 28-year-old Suresh Chaudhary and 28-year-old Manish Chaudhary of the same sub-metropolitan city-1. Manish was arrested with 1 gram of 590 milligrams and 1 gram of 840 milligrams of brown sugar with Suresh.
