Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Prasad Pandey has called a meeting of the Pashupati Area Development Fund in an effort to end the dispute regarding the cowshed. He also instructed the fund not to do any work related to Dharamshala
Minister Pandey, who is also the chairman of the Pashupati Area Development Fund, gave instructions to stop the work of evacuating the Pashupati Gaushala Dharamshala in a letter to the fund on October 30, stating that 'a problem has arisen in peace and security'. In addition, he called for a council meeting on the 4th of October in the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, according to Revathiraman Adhikari, spokesperson of the fund.
The controversy arose after the fund announced that it would not allow any individual or business group to operate Dharamshala, a state-owned property owned entirely by it, but instead would operate it in a non-profit manner in collaboration with the Kathmandu Metropolitan City . The decision of the Marwari Seva Samiti Fund, which previously operated the Dharamsala, has come out in protest .
