”They did not even have money for the case and they planned the incident in such a way that if they could trap the opponent by killing their father, they would not have to pay the debt and would even get the case settled,” DSP Basyal said. ”They thought they would trap others, but they got themselves trapped.”

District Police DSP Bishnu Pradeep Basyal informed that Ram Bilas, who was absconding after the incident, was arrested from Chitwan on Wednesday. The police made him public on Thursday.
According to the district police, Ram Bilas had taken loans from many people in the village. The person from whom he had taken the loan also had a case related to land grabbing in the court.
'He had no money for the case and planned to trap the opponent by killing his father so that he would not have to pay the debt and get a case,' DSP Basyal said. 'He got himself trapped instead of trapping others.'
According to the police, Ram Bilas tied his hands and feet while his father was sleeping and stabbed him in various parts of his body with a sharp weapon to get rid of financial crisis, debt pressure and land dispute. DSP Basyal said that the investigation revealed that he committed such a heinous crime with the idea that he would not have to pay the debt after the murder and that he could trap the opponent in a murder case.
The police have not given detailed information about the person who had a land dispute with Ram Bilas, how much debt and from whom he had taken it.
