According to the police, 42-year-old Ram Ashish Raut Ahir, a resident of Raharia Dih, Parwanipur Rural Municipality-1, Bara, and 30-year-old Subash Saraf, a resident of Sisiadi, Bahudarmai Municipality-2, Parsa, have been taken into custody on charges of involvement in the incident.

Police have arrested two people from Parsa with a large quantity of banned narcotics, Tramadol Hydrochloride capsules. According to the District Police Office, the narcotics were seized during a vehicle check at Gandak Chowk, Birgunj Metropolitan City-14, at around 12:15 pm on Saturday.
A team deployed from Police Post Gandak stopped a Tata Sumo (Na1J 2765) heading towards Kathmandu from Birgunj Bus Park and found a bag covered with a yellow tarpaulin on the roof of the vehicle and 52,300 capsules labeled Tramadol Hydrochloride hidden inside the bag, according to the police.

The Parsa District Police Office has stated that the Parsa District Court has extended the remand of both the arrested persons for seven days for drug-related offences and further investigation is underway. According to Police Spokesperson and Information Officer Deputy Superintendent of Police Raju Karki, legal proceedings have been initiated against the arrested persons along with the seized drugs.
