Voting has been completed peacefully in all four constituencies of Rautahat. The District Administration Office, Rautahat, has stated that there were no untoward incidents during the voting that began at 7 am and ended at 5 pm.
Security arrangements were made by the Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force to make the election safe and orderly. Chief District Officer Dinesh Sagar Bhusal said that the tightened security surveillance helped in the peaceful completion of the voting.
In Rautahat, which has four constituencies, work is underway to bring the ballot boxes from all the constituencies to the respective collection centers and preparations are underway to count the votes, said Election Officer Chhotelal Das. According to Chief Das, the counting of votes will take place at Juddha Secondary School in Gaur in Constituency No. 1, while counting of votes will take place at Brahm Jyoti Secondary School in Laukaha in Constituency No. 2, Janata Secondary School in Kataharia in Constituency No. 3, and Janajyoti High School in Chandrapur in Constituency No. 4, according to Election Officer Das.
According to him, preparations are underway to start counting of votes from tonight. He said that the vote counting process will be carried out from nightfall after the collection of ballot boxes and necessary management work is completed.
