The District Police Office has arrested four people who attacked the Armed Police Force while they were raiding an illegal warehouse in Birgunj.
Birgunj Customs Office and Armed Police Force (APF) raided an illegal warehouse in Adarshnagar, Birgunj on Monday, injuring three APF personnel and damaging two APF vehicles.
Parsa Police Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police Hari Bahadur Basnet informed that four persons who attacked the APF were arrested by Monday night. 'Necessary investigation is underway after reviewing the CCTV footage of those who attacked the APF,' he said. 'We will make the names of those involved public only later as necessary investigations are underway.'
The clash occurred while a joint team was trying to recover clothes illegally stored in a warehouse at the house of Madan Prasad Gupta in Adarshnagar on suspicion of importing goods by evading customs. The APF said that goods worth around Rs. 1.25 million were recovered from the spot.
