The Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal has expelled Ramchalitar Mahato, the Deputy Mayor of Lahan Municipality in Siraha.

The party has taken action against seven leaders, including Deputy Mayor Mahato, who was elected as the Deputy Mayor of Lahan in the last local level elections from JSP Nepal.

JSP Nepal's Siraha District Working Committee issued a statement on Thursday stating that Deputy Mayor Mahato, as well as the candidate for the chairman of Naraha Rural Municipality and district convention representatives Ramsogarath Yadav, Hari Narayan Yadav and Mahesh Yadav, have been expelled.

Similarly, Sakhuwanankarkatti 4 ward chairman Ramesh Goit Yadav, Sakhuwanankarkatti 4 ward committee chairman Yogendra Jha and Lahan Nagar committee secretary Ram Autar Mahato have also been expelled from the party without being ordinary members, according to a statement issued by district chairman Ashok Kumar.
