Munilal Khang (Khatwe), the candidate for the chairmanship of Bishnupur Rural Municipality in Saptari from the then CPN-Maoist Center, has joined the National Independent Party (NISP) within two days of joining the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) in Nepal.
He, who was also the then chairman of Jamuni Madhepura VDC, had contested the election for the chairman of the rural municipality in the local level elections held in 2079 BS with 1,183 votes.
At that time, JSP Nepal's Umesh Prasad Yadav was elected with 3,164 votes, making Khang fourth. Nepali Communist Party (NCP) leader Khang had joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) just two days ago.
