A person has been shot dead in Siraha. An unknown group shot and killed 40-year-old Premnath Yadav of Siraha district headquarters.

He was shot at around 4:45 pm on Friday near the Mainawati River in Siraha Municipality-7.

Police are currently at the scene and an investigation is underway, said DSP Ramesh Bahadur Pal, spokesperson for Siraha Police.
