The Madhesh Provincial Government has decided to declare a public holiday in the province on Magh 18.
In a notice issued on Thursday by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Communications and Law of the provincial government, Radheshankar Prasad Pal, a public holiday has been declared on Magh 18 as per the decision of the Council of Ministers on Mangsir 16.
The notice states that it has been decided to declare a public holiday on that day in honor of the community residing within the province on the occasion of Ravidas Jayanti (Magh Purnima), which is celebrated with special devotion and devotion by Dalits and marginalized communities across the country, including Madhesh Province.
