It is reported that preparations for the National Assembly member elections in Madhesh Province have been completed.
The Election Officer's office has stated that all necessary preparations for the election have been completed and security arrangements have been tightened.

Elections are being held for four vacant seats for the National Assembly in Madhesh on Sunday. Election Officer Puri said that separate voting arrangements have been made for provincial assembly members and local level chiefs and deputy chiefs, chairpersons and vice-chairpersons at the polling station located at the Mahendra Narayan Nidhi Mithila Cultural Center.
According to him, 11 people have registered their candidacies for the four seats to be held for others, women, Dalits and minority/disabled groups.
The Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has fielded candidates in all four groups. JSP Nepal has fielded candidates in three, Nepali Congress has fielded candidates in two, CPN-UML and Loktantrik Samajwadi Party Nepal have fielded candidates in one seat each.
